Annual Black Friday & Small Business Saturday Sale - November 27th & 28th
We’re preparing for our annual Black Friday and Small Business Saturday sale at Memory Den on November 27th and 28th! Having more vendors participate in the sale helps create excitement, attract more shoppers, and drive additional traffic to the mall throughout the weekend. We highly encourage everyone to consider participating! If you’d like to be included in the storewide sale, please email sierrah@memorydenpdx.com so we can get everything set up for you!
Reminder: Booth Sales & Promotions
When running a sale or promotion at Memory Den, please remember that it must apply to your entire booth. Unfortunately, we’re unable to section off individual parts of a booth for sales or exclude specific areas. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep things consistent for shoppers throughout the mall!
Holiday Inventory & Restocking Reminder
The holiday shopping season is here, and things are about to get busy at Memory Den! With Halloween this weekend, Thanksgiving, Black Friday (November 27th), and Small Business Saturday (November 28th) next month, followed by Christmas and New Year’s in December/January, we encourage everyone to stay stocked up and keep fresh inventory out on the floor. Shoppers will be looking for unique gifts, holiday decor, vintage treasures, and one-of-a-kind finds, so now is a great time to refresh your booth, restock popular items, and bring out new merchandise. Keep those booths full and looking their best throughout the holiday season!
Holiday Hours Reminder
The holiday season is right around the corner! Please keep our upcoming holiday hours in mind as you plan your visits to Memory Den. We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day so our team can celebrate the holidays. We will close early at 5 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, and at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. We will be open our normal hours, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., on Black Friday (November 27th) and Small Business Saturday (November 28th). Thank you for planning accordingly, and we hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!
Hanger Pickup Reminder
With the holiday season kicking off, please make sure to stop by and grab your hangers regularly! We want to keep the hanger area from getting overcrowded, especially as things get busier over the next few months. Thank you for helping us keep everything organized!

Vendors can work on their booths every day of the week starting at 10 a.m. Two staff members will be on site at 10 a.m. every day. On Saturdays and Sundays, vendors must leave by 11 a.m., as we do not allow vendors to work on their booths during weekend operating hours due to high customer traffic.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Halloween is right around the corner, and we highly encourage you to bring out all your fun, spooky, and fall-themed items in your booths! We’ll be encouraging customers to wear costumes to the mall on Halloween, and leading up to the big day, we’ll be sharing some costume-related content on our social media. We’ll also have trick-or-treating throughout the mall, Cursed Object Bingo (get four in a row to win a small prize!), and a candy corn guessing game at the front desk where customers can win a bigger prize by guessing the correct number! We’ll also have a special mirror set up with a secret hashtag for customers to take photos in and enter a raffle. We’d love to see all your festive finds, spooky décor, and fun fall costumes out on the floor for everyone to enjoy. Let’s make this spooky season extra fun at Memory Den!
We’re also planning a Christmas Scavenger Hunt in December! We’re excited to bring some holiday fun to the mall and encourage shoppers to explore all the treasures our vendors have to offer. We’ll share more details as we get closer, so keep an eye out for updates!

Elevator Use Reminder – Please remember that staff must operate the elevator at Memory Den. If you need to use the elevator to move items, please coordinate with a staff member and make sure to remove all your items promptly once they reach their destination. We want to keep the elevator available and accessible for staff and other necessary use, so please avoid leaving items inside or blocking it for extended periods. Thank you for your cooperation!

Basement Hanger Setup Update
We will be changing our hanger setup in the basement by sorting hangers by type to make the process more organized and efficient. With this new system, vendors will need to come down and collect the hangers they need, as we will no longer be providing hanger boxes. This change will help reduce the amount of time staff spend managing hangers and allow us to keep more eyes on the sales floor, especially as we head into the busy holiday season. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we make these adjustments to better support our staff and customers!
Mindful Merchandise Reminder
Please be mindful of the items you choose to display and sell in your booth. We have had multiple instances of merchandise that can be considered insensitive, offensive, or harmful to others, and we want to ensure Memory Den remains a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. Please take the time to research items you are unsure about and consider their historical context, meaning, and potential impact before bringing them into your booth. If you have any doubts about whether an item is appropriate, please leave it out. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and cooperation in helping us maintain a respectful environment for our customers, vendors, and staff.

Loose or curled edges can create tripping hazards for customers, vendors, and staff as they walk through the mall. Portland Marathon Traffic & Parking Notice
The Portland Marathon will be passing right by Memory Den on Sunday, October 4th. Due to road closures and increased traffic in the area, parking may be limited or unavailable until approximately 2:00 PM PST. If you plan to visit your booth that day, please allow extra travel time and plan accordingly.

Elevator Usage Reminder
Please do not leave merchandise, carts, boxes, or other items in the elevator for extended periods of time. The elevator needs to remain available for customers, vendors, and staff throughout the day, and items left inside can prevent others from using it when needed. If you are moving inventory, please unload your items promptly so the elevator remains clear and ready for daily use.
Community Kids Area Reminder
As we transition between seasons, we ask vendors to please remove any seasonal merchandise or displays from the Community Kids Area when the season has ended. For example, Halloween items should be removed before Christmas displays begin. This space is reserved for community use and children's activities, and any vendor items found in the area after a seasonal transition may be returned to their respective booths. Thank you for helping us keep this space organized, welcoming, and up to date for all visitors.

Items in Your Booth
Attention top-floor vendors: If you find an item in your booth that does not belong to you but does have a tag attached, please place it in the fitting room rather than the untagged items room. This helps us return merchandise to the correct vendor more efficiently. Thank you for your help!
Tagging Stations
Please do not adjust or change any of the settings on the tagging stations. The stations are configured to work properly for all vendors, and changes can cause issues for others using the system. Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly.

Hi everyone,
Just a heads up that on Tuesday we will be making changes to our Wi-Fi network. If you have a camera connected to the current Wi-Fi in your booth, it may go offline once the change is made.
The Wi-Fi password will be changing, so you will need to come in and reconnect your camera or device to the new network.
If you need assistance getting everything set back up, please see me, Angie, or Dot, and we'll be happy to help.

Great news, the elevator is officially back in service!
Thank you all for your patience while it was out. We're happy to have it up and running again for late Vendor Night tonight! We appreciate everyone's understanding during the downtime.

IMPORTANT MD UPDATE:
We wanted to let you know that we had technicians come out to inspect the elevator. Unfortunately, despite their visit, the elevator is once again out of service.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this will cause. Please know that we are actively working to have the issue resolved and will do everything we can to get the elevator back up and running as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this issue. We will provide updates as soon as we have more information.

Loose or unsecured carpeting can shift, curl, or bunch up, creating a tripping hazard for employees, customers, and visitors. Please do not put any rugs around the basement stairs. We are working on a project to decorate the basement entrance so rugs will no longer be allowed in that location
Please make sure you are checking everytime you are in for your hangers in the basement! We are constantly overflowing and need your help to make sure they stay manageable for staff.
The untagged room has been refreshed and reorganized. Please follow the signs for placement of untagged items based on when they are found. Also please do not put any tagged merchandise in the untagged room. If you find an item that is not yours, please hand it to staff or put it in the fitting room so it can make its way back to its proper booth.

We will be reworking/organizing the untagged items area. Please ensure you are checking it regularly for your items. We hold unclaimed items for at least 30 days. This area is for untagged items only. If you find an item in your booth that does not belong to you but does have a tag, please either put it in the fitting room or give it to a staff member to return to its proper location.

Please remember to check the untagged items section next time you are in the mall. We currently have a large amount of untagged items and will be clearing out items that have been in there for over 30 days in the next couple of weeks.
We are adding signage and ID numbers to all cases around the store. This ensures staff can easily identify them for customers. You will see identifying signage added to your cases.

We will host a special event night focusing on Artist Alley. We are also partnering with Thru & Thru, who will provide live music upstairs in the mall. This event will be after regular store hours, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please come and support our local artists!

The newly expanded and opened Mausoleum will host an event featuring snacks and a circus sideshow performance in front of the clock wall
